Good afternoon AVUHSD students!
We are ecstatic to announce that the Optimist Club of the Antelope Valley is once again sponsoring and hosting their Annual Oratorical Contest on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 5:30 PM!
The 2024 Oratorical Contest is a public speaking contest! The contest will consist of presenting a 4-5 minute speech pertaining to this year’s topic, “How to Change the World with Optimism”!
Enter for a chance to win up to $22,500 in scholarship money from Optimist International!

What is an Optimist Club?
Optimist Clubs are dedicated to “Bringing Out the Best in Kids” and do their part through community service programs. Since each Club is autonomous and run by members in their community, Optimists have the unique flexibility to serve the youth of their area in any way they see fit.
