Career Technical Education (CTE) Month
February is Career Technical Education (CTE) Month!
CTE Month celebrates the achievements and accomplishments of AVUHSD’s CTE Academies and pathways as well as other CTE programs across the country! We are so thankful for all our incredible staff and hard working students for all their efforts in making our CTE Academies so phenomenal! Take this month to look back on all of your growth and to look forward to your future triumphs!
What is CTE?
Antelope Valley Union High School District’s Career Technical Education (CTE) Department is committed to preparing our students for college and careers through our CTE Academies. CTE Academies are small learning communities that offer 9th through 12th grade students the opportunity to gain skills required for college and career readiness.
Our CTE Academies are a proven approach to education that combines rigorous academics, sequenced technical training, internships, and work-based learning. This approach provides exposure to real-world workplaces and teaches the professional skills needed to thrive in a career. By centering high school around industry themes, learning becomes relevant. Students graduate with the skills and confidence to succeed in any of their aspirations!
