AV CAREER PREP COUNCIL
The Antelope Valley Union High School District created the Antelope Valley Career Prep Council for the purpose of creating a bridge between our business, industry and government community leaders and education.
The mission of the AV Career Prep Council is to partner with education at all levels to prepare students in the greater Antelope Valley region with the highest level of knowledge, skills and work ethic required for success in college and career.

BUSINESS PARTNERS
Business and industry partners help our students acquire important skills and behaviors applicable to the real-world. Our business partners provide internships, job shadowing, and mentoring activities. Many of these partners also serve on industry advisory committees and help us align our courses of study. Our partners are vital connections for our students in preparation of college and careers.

VOLUNTEERING
To be a volunteer at one of our schools please follow these steps:
- Get an application packet from the school.
- Submit your packet to the school. To minimize the processing time, please ensure your packet is complete including photocopies of all required certificates.
- After you submit your packet to the school, the principal must sign it and send your packet to the District Office for approvals and authorization.
- Once the Personnel Department receives your completed packet, you will be contacted by a District Office Personnel Department Technician for an appointment to complete any clearances required.
- Final clearance notification must be obtained by the District Office before starting in any coaching, advisor or volunteering position.

To use a District or school facility, please email info@avhsd.org and we will be happy to provide you additional details, including any associated fees.
DISTRIBUTING INFORMATION TO OUR SCHOOLS
The Antelope Valley Union High School District partners with Peachjar to allow community members to distribute information to students, parents and employees of our District or schools. All flyers being sent go through a District approval process via Peachjar. Flyers must be submitted in both English and Spanish.
To send digital flyers to our schools, go to Peachjar and Sign Up in the upper right corner to create an account.
Once you have established an account, go to “LOGIN” in the upper right corner. After you “LOGIN,” follow these easy steps:
- Go to “My Account”
- Click on “Send a Flyer”
- Select Desired Schools
DONATE
To make a donation to a specific school, please contact the school directly. If you do not have a specific school in mind, please call 661-948-7655 or email info@avhsd.org and we will be happy to assist you in finding the best school or program for your donation.
CHARTER SCHOOL SERVICES
The Antelope Valley Union High School District accepts charter petitions and renewals, and is responsible for facilitating the petition review process. The District also coordinates the monitoring and oversight of charters authorized by AVUHSD, and provides general information and technical assistance to AVUHSD authorized charters.
