The Paul George Foundation Accepting Applications for Space Camp Scholarships
Good afternoon to our AVUHSD staff, students, and families!
The Paul George Foundation, in partnership with the Antelope Valley Union High School District, is sending twenty students and three teachers/counselors from Palmdale, CA to Space Camp 2024. Selected students, aka “PG 13 Space Crew”, blast off on June 8, 2024, for Huntsville, Alabama for an unforgettable journey through space and time at the Advanced Space Academy. The flight returns to Los Angeles on June 14. Students from Knight High School, Palmdale High School, Highland High School, and Littlerock High School are eligible to apply. This opportunity is for current 9-12 grade students for the 2023-24 school year who are ages 15-18 before June 9th, 2024.
Eligibility Includes:
- Students from Knight High School, Palmdale High School, Highland High School and Littlerock High School are eligible to apply (see application below)
- Current 9-12 grade students for the 2023-24 school year. Must be 15-18 before June 9, 2024.
- All participants must submit the required forms 45 days before the trainee attends Space Camp. This includes a health form (doctor’s signature is not required, but the doctor’s information is required) as well as insurance information.
Important Dates:
Application Deadline: January 19, 2024
Winners Notified: February 2024
Winners Attend LA Clippers Game + Meet and Greet with Paul George: March 17, 2024 (Tentative)
Space Camp Depart: June 8, 2024 – Return: June 14, 2024
